I found my Road King's bass response changes dramatically with volume. Don't be afraid to turn it down, especially at gig levels as it will tighten up a bunch. If you want the extra "thump", keep the bass knob at around 9:00 and put an EQ in the loop. I've used a GE-7 with the 110kz slider boosted s...

Well, I couldent understand anything. Can someone explain whats going on with him? Well I'm a little rusty with my innarweb slang, but I'll try. I think he played his triple rec one day and it sounded fine...then on another day, he fired it up and it made a buzzing noise. Then, in an unfortunate tu...

Overture2005, does it do it regardless of your power tube selections? There was a known bug regarding the Pentode/Triode switch frying...but if that isn't it and you are still able to use the same tube selection on ch1 and 2 with no problem...sounds like the LDR bug. FYI, any of those bugs can be fi...

Thanks Dale...that's sort of what I thought. I just realized that I need to re-tube my Road King and I need to explain that to my tech. (If he doesn't already know.) Has your Road King been modified for a bias pot? Yes...I had it done by Voodoo Amps. I'm currently using Ruby EL34 BSTR, and KT66's i...

David, No problem. I chose the Bad Horsie only due to the contour feature as it suits my feeble wah needs. (One song in my setlist requires it.) The contour feature was exactly what the doc ordered. The Tremonti wah is a REALLY good sounding wah...hopefully his work with Alter Bridge will dist...

Most upper end wah's should do fine... That being said, I just bagged my Dunlop Fasel for a Morley Bad Horsie II. I found that the Morley's seem to respond better to high gain than some of the vintage type stuff I've tried. On the other hand, if you run less gain or if you're playing clean...all bet...

...The only trade-off is that the Plate Voltage and Cathode Current (Bias Current) will change every time you swap to a different mode with a Dual or Triple Rectifier. Bold/Silicon Diodes has the highest plate voltage and will have the highest Cathode Current (Bias). Spongy/Tube will have the lowes...
