Re: Effects for Mark V ?

congratulations on your purchase. first are you going to use the effects loop? if so then i have this old rack unit from the 80s from roland called the gp-8 that i only use for delay & chorus..that's it. i do have some in front of the amp on the floor. jhs little black buffer-a tc electronics tuner-...

Re: Multi effects or pedals with the mark V?

i don't see as to why you can't have both worlds. i use a rack unit through the loop & a few out in front & love it. the rack unit has 8 boss effects (roland gp-8) but i don't use all of them, mainly for delays & chorusing. tuner through the tuner out (tc electronics tuner), morley wah, evh flanger ...

Re: Possibly selling DC5 and EX 525, Lonestar or MK V?

you might also want to consider looking at granger amps. i gave them some serious thought before deciding on the mark v. not as many options but the sounds were incredible. above all else the pricing was $500 less than a mark v. they are more "marshally" & have early van halen tones to boot. just an...

Re: Possibly selling DC5 and EX 525, Lonestar or MK V?

what styles do you play? do you plan on expanding your rig at a later time? IMO definately the Mark V but i cannot stress enough that you need try those amps with YOUR GUITAR. not necessary to involve the pedals when trying it out because those are just more for "color" than getting what the essence...

Re: triple rectifier reborn 2012 or mark v?

i guess versatility's what i'm looking for since i play in a cover band. we do anything from new country to metal so i do need an amp with options & it seems that both offer that. i do lots of soloing so with that i lean towards the mark v. i currently own a tremoverb so the metal option is taken ca...

triple rectifier reborn 2012 or mark v?

been shopping around for another mesa head & have come to 2, the mark v @ triple rectifier reborn heads. both having their own voicings, i heard that the newly reborn rectifer head works well by itself & not with effects, is this true. the same question goes for the mark v. leaning more towards the ...

effects rack with storage pull out drawer at bottom

hey everyone, i've been looking at the rigs of other players on this board & was wondering if anybody knows of rackmounted cases with a pull out drawer at the bottom for nick nacks n stuff. thought it would be handy to have around instead of hauling more stuff. i thought i saw petrucci's gtr tech on...

SOLDANO REVERB-O-SONIC REVERB LAG

hello all, i bought a used soldano 2x12 combo & i'm having issues with the reverb when i am changing channels from dirty (channel 2) to channel 1 (clean). there is a lag in the reverb. the reverb seemes to linger after & is more pronounced when i change channels especially from dirty to clean. anyon...
