FYI I recently had a pre amp tube cause similar. I never could decide which tube was the culprit. I had started v4 because channel 2 sounded weak. then I ended up rolling several and thru that process had a loss across all three channels. eventually I must have changed the correct one because...
I'll try and add what works for me. My MV combo usually sounds nasally when on it's own(except when miked at a gig). I usually gig with it on top of a lonestar 410. I love the tone. it open and clear. I also have a RK412. The open back side is my favorite especially when used with the 410...
Thanks for the input about the JP-2C. I've noticed your post about the JP and have wondered as well if it might be a good pair with the MV for me. However, I'm probably one of the few that likes to use the preset on the graphic EQ at about 10 o'clock on all three channels. I may have to find one...
ooh, thanks for the new ideas. That's the least expensive route to using all the speaker cabinets I have available. After experimenting over the weekend, I prefer the tone of the MV combo on top the lonestar 410 over the RK412 at 4ohms. It's way more open. The open back side of the 412 paired...
Thanks Bandit, I think that's what I wanted to hear lol. I use TC Electronic G force and also have a nova delay and modulator for my effects. I can see a MV head in my future.
Thanks for the replies. I really don't have a need beyond what I'm gigging with now. My MV combo on top the Lonestar cab are both in wine matching color. The combination of speakers is unique and sounds great. I'm extremely happy with my tone. It just that I have this RK412 that needs something...
I gig with a Mark V combo on top of a lonestar 410. I also have a roadking 412 cabinet. As stated before, the open back cabs have more stage presence. The closed back cabs do seem a little better at high gain but are very directional. I currently play rhythm and lead in a country/southern rock...
I currently gig with a Mark V on top of a Lonestar 410. I also have a Roadking 412 cabinet that I would like to use with a slave amp. Which amps make the best slave amps? What should I look for? I would consider another high quality amp.
Thanks in advance
