Where to buy wicker cane for new grille?

There is a process to install that stuff correctly, you need to soak it in warm water before you install it. It will shrink when it dries.

    Nomad-45 or DC-3?

I've owned all 3 amps, I feel the dc3 is closer to the mk4 in regards to gain. The clean channels are similar in both 3 and nomad though I found the clean in the dc3 to b more compressed. Out of all 3 I liked the clean on the 3 the most, but I only own the 4 now. I'll never sell that amp.

    and Three more headcabs...

They look sweet George, really dig the piping around the jute.

    .....for a sweeter response

I think they used jute dripping in the 70's to dip joints in.

Sapele in the Grass. (Mesa Hardwoods)

Hey man, very nice work. One small word of advice.......cut the reverb holes out prior to assembly. I tried both ways, and it was much easier to mount a template and route out the hole on just the bottom. Good job, they look very pretty. Love the sapele. I have an older Ibanez RG520 with the...

    Mk IV EV Speaker Question

If it's front mounted you should just be able to pry it out, there should be no gasket material behind the speaker, it's probably just stuck a little. If it were rear mounted you would have to be more gentel as the speaker has a thick paper gasket adheared to it. Even if the gasket was damamaged...

Mesa still makes head shells for Marks...

They probably dropped their price to keep up with GTS. I'd still buy a head from George before I went to mesa. Not knocking mesa at all, I've just seen too many custom heads by George and am blown away by the quality, craftsmenship, options and price.

Mark 4 differences in these amps

The top one is a short combo "A" version. The bottom one is a widebody "B" version. As Brion Said the major difference is the mid gain/harmonic switch moved to the front as well as the eq assign switch. There is also a difference in footswitch assign and effects loop jacks. I don't feel these...

    New MKIV widebody Head

I will when I finish a new wood shell for it. I'm thinking Wenge wood for the sides and Tiger maple for the top and bottom with a slight amber finish. A wenge grill front with black piping around the edge. Then a block of the maple right in the center of the grill, sanded flush of course. I'll...

    New MKIV widebody Head

I had one a few years ago. Your right, it sounded sick through that amp. I had a blue one as well. I am holding out for a natural or violin finish. I'm not in a hurry, one will show up in time. I'm only looking to spend around $800 if it's in nice shape. The one I let go was mint and sold it for...

    New MKIV widebody Head

Ok, so I pick up this mint 94 Head. I was saving for a V but couldn't pass this deal up. I used to own a combo and had to let it go because times were tough (It’s great to be workin again). This amp sounds way different than my last one. I played the combo on top of a theil, the head now goes...

Yeah, my bad, I meant to say III+. Thanks VooDoo, I've been lurking but had nothing to say.
