    Bold/Spongy voltages

I measured my 2ch Dual Rectifier: Bold 6,3V Spongy 5,3V

    Dual Rectifier revision?

I've tried changing the preamp tubes but it won't help (actually I think both channels use the same tubes if schematics online are correct.) I'm guessing it's a failing capacitor or LDR. I already had to change the 100nF filter cap that was shorted and was blowing the fuse...

    Dual Rectifier revision?

Hi guys I'm confused about the revision of my old Dual Rectifier I bought a year ago. It's missing the serial number plate and I can't find the number on the PCB either. I was told the serial number was somewhere around 2000 (can't remember it exactly), no idea where the seller got that from...

2ch Dual - Channel switching problem

Okay. So orange channel indicator led stopped working. I built a JYETech LCD-scope. Maybe I'll tinker with the amp next week on vacation. Any clues would be helpful, I'm not very familiar with this complex switching matrixes.

Can I put only two EL34's in my Dual Rectifier ?

Sure you can do that. Just run the amp in 50-watt mode and try which pair (inner/outer) works. It won't hurt the amp. No idea about color codes, I do bias mods on my amps.

2ch Dual - Channel switching problem

Oh, that sucks... I'll just have to buy a scope then...

2ch Dual - Channel switching problem

My Rev G Dual Rectifier drops volume for a fraction of a second when switching channels. Is this normal, or is it a faulty LDR/relay? This is pretty annoying because I'm using orange channel for a boosted lead tone for soloing. The orange channel sounds very dark too, current settings: bass...

Dual Rectifier Rev. G (Death metal)

The guitar has cheap Tesla Plasma II passive pickups in it. Yeah I did the vocals too. It's a Bolt Thrower song though. I'm trying to learn to record the Rectifier. I had a 3-channel Dual a few years ago, but I wasn't very satisfied with the tone. The 2-ch Recto kicks ***. 8)

Dual Rectifier Rev. G (Death metal)

Gibson Les Paul -> TS 808 -clone -> amp -> Eminence Texas Heat -> Sennheiser MD441 Quad tracked, two tracks on Modern Red channel, two on Vintage Orange (+2 lead tracks). It's just a quick mix. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5150092/cannons.mp3 Enjoy!

    Mark III weak reverb

Yeah I'll try both these. There should be a new tube in tho if I didn't accidentally swap in a used tube when I retubed the amp =)

    Mark III weak reverb

Hey guys My Mark III head has a problem with the reverb. The effect is very quiet, and if it's turned up to 10 it distorts a bit (and even then you can barely hear the reverb). It's not a tube issue, so should I get a new spring unit? Or is it possible that there is a burnt resistor or other...

EQ stomp box for Mark III

Yeah rack stuff is nice, but I'm looking for something compact I can attach inside the head shell with velcro.

EQ stomp box for Mark III

Hi guys I've recently acquired a 60W Mark III blue stripe with no EQ, reverb or simul-class. I got it for a reasonable price so I thought I'll just get me an EQ pedal for the lack of the original GEQ. So which EQ would be similar to the original GEQ? I have a Boss RGE-10 I've been using with...

G-Force or stompboxes for DR Solo

It's the loop in recto that's totally ****. It feeds back signal from return to send, so you always get that tonesuck if you use digital effects. Analog effects work (but you can notice they don't work exactly like they're supposed to), but digital effects don't because the signal is delayed in...

3ch Recto loop bleeding from return to send

I modded it today. I'm getting a bit signal through even when there's no patch cable bypassing the loop. Is this normal or should I check if there's a bad soldering? It won't get any louder when I turn volume up, so it doesn't really matter if it's there or not, I was just wondering if I did...
