You might have burned tube in there. Also sometimes when there are dirt and all kinds of **** in tube sockets they just take the heat and "burn" away. I suggest that first step to do is check all tubes and sockets. If there are something burned you might actually hurt your amp badly if you...

Hi. So i own mark iii green stripe long body head. Did mesa do widebody combos for the mark iii series or are there any combo's to that size? If i happen to find mark iv empty combo case does it fit with iii head? Thanks.

Yeap, i love this amp! I haven't done the R2 mod yet but someday :roll: I have hit it with winged c's that i tested at work with tube tester. This thing is keeper :lol:

What i read from there red's have draw apr. 44mA. so you should be safe in range between 41-47mA. So if you have someone to test your tubes you can ask him that you need tubes witch draw is in range of that. No problem. And thanks, that was quite good topic cuz i haven't measured my mark iii's...

??? Why's that? All mesa tubes are bought from another factory, mesa dont do their tubes. At this moment there are like 3 factorys left that make's tubes. EH's , Tungsol's , Sovtek's , Svetlanas comes from same factory :D I know that mesa uses sovtek tubes and then they put their own logo there...

I've been happy with Svetlana's winged -c-'s or JJ's. I've been using both of those with combination 6l6's & el34's. JJ's are little bit "darker" sounding but i love those with my mark 3. Its not so Trebly sounding and you can use your presence without any mods :D

Did that :lol: We were playing and i played a little with GEQ and my 8 stringed guitar, i had SOOOUU huge bottom on my sound that our bass player asked for me that where do i need him anymore :lol: This is just so cool amp, im really loving it.
