i would try to do the mod with the diagram above, but i have no idea what an LDR is, or where it would be located.

i've heard/read of a mod that adds a separate Master knob, or gain knob or something to the clean, or gain channel in order to make the two channels more independent of each other.

I only have 1 extra 12ax7 and I don't know if its any good. its an electro harmonix if that makes a difference.
I think the reverb tube is the 12at7.
is it safe to temporarily replace this with a 12ax7, just to see if the reverb comes back to life?
this amp has been sitting in a closet for the last couple years. I can't really play it anymore because I can only use it at "thin-walled-apartment/cranky-neighbor-next-door-with-new-born-infant" volume levels. plus, my playing is so abysmal, I wouldn't want anybody else hearing it anyway.

does anybody else have a problem with the cable-part of the connection being too loose in the power jack?
the power cable is a genuine Mesa Boogie (AC-1, if that makes a difference)
the connection is so loose that any movement at all causes the pedal to lose power.

couldn't get into their later stuff, but tommy victor did such an amazing job on those first 4 albums.
they were one of the best live bands i've ever seen
on channel 2 the reverb is just about non-existant
channel 1 is only a little bit better
i should mention that i have to play at living room/television levels
does the reverb effect improve as the volume increases?
