I do want a head, and I like the portability of the V:25. I am not sure how big the difference in headroom really is, but yes, that would be a factor for me as well.

I have an F-50 and to me it sounds fantastic with my jazz box for a fat warm traditional kind of jazz tone!

I use an Exotic BB preamp comp with my F-50 combo, and I love it!
