I use an MP1 into Cab IRs for practice/composing but it sounds good enough to do serious Recording. Are you finding the Triaxis into CAB IRs to be as good or nearly as good as micing an actual Amp ?

I like a Mini Something like Elektradyne if it has nice cleans and singing low medium and high gain tones. 6V6s nice and a load switch to use as silent recording into Cab IRs for Studio. Also a 1 watt Mode ......

Some cool creative suggestions on here. One thing we forget about when suggesting is retail price points. Would the Marketplace support, buy a Tube Preamp that costs over $2000. in sufficient numbers ? A Triaxis 2 especially featuring some of the British voicings in with the Mark Series...

You also might try a JJ 803s preamp tube in V1. They have a very large Plate and spiral filament for low noise and seem to have a little more headroom on clean channels and a wider sweet spot on gain channels, a little less aggressive more clear on distortion. This depends on the Circuit...

DON'T Try This. You may damage your AMP ! But I can't help wondering what a 5:50 would sound like with JJ 6V6 s. No I don't have one. What do you experienced MESA guys think it would be ? A fatter , warmer 5 :25 type with more "sag"?
