I have a mark IV short head in a mark II head shell. No reverb installed in this one. Can anyone supply me with the dimensions of the proper reverb cut out in a mark IV chassis. My plan is to re tolex the headshell, so while I'm at it I might make the hole the proper size. Thanks in advance

Try it in V2. As per Doug's (Doug's Tubes) recommendation, it really smoothed things out.

Make sure it has the right size hole for the reverb. I bought a used IVB that had no reverb unit. Came to find out the chassis had been switched; it wouldnt accommodate a reverb unit. Go figure.

I assume if I set up the way I posted, the lonestar power amp will color the tone a bit differently through that amp. Might sound pretty good in combination.

Try the SED "winged" C. A bit more expensive for a matched pair of 6L6s, but well worth the $$$. They open the amp up a lot.
