I had one I bought new in the late 90s and sold it because it was too heavy and got a rectoverb. **** I miss that thing. They are hard to find and it was a glorious sounding amp. I am not sure what Gen mine was in reference but I do recall I had to have it replaced because it had issues with the...
My suggestion is lay way off the gain on ch 3\4 to begin with. It seems like good idea to crank the gain all the way but I find it helps to roll it back around 5-6 especially if you are going to front load a OD pedal. I have a BB but I use it mainly on my clean channels and run just the rk gain...
I think I like the idea of a 4x12 but for gigging I would tell you horizontal 2x12 unless you have a good way to load a 4x12 and move it around. I have one of each and the cool factor of the 4x12 and sound is great, but playing out 2x12 is way more practical to handle. I wouldnt buy a horizontal...
I dont think it matters. I always used the first loop myself. I believe you can run a different effects into the second one since they are switchable. Try it and find out.
I agree with LesPaul70 on the combo. I had the 2x12 RK2 but I scored a custom red RK2 head at GC online and so I sold the 2x12 combo. Great amp but hell to get in the car. I have a 4x12 and a 2x12 Recto and a closed back red RK 4x12 which I got that im not using. I may sell it. I was expecting...
MkIII is that a US Charvel Model 6? Man I remember when both Charvel and Jackson were expensive high end guitars, not the shameful 300 dollar ones now. I recall falling in love back around 1985 with a Pearl White model 6 which was all the rage then. I wouldnt mind one IF its a USA.
You could but I have lost a few over the years on my amps and I just never replaced it. Never noticed any issues but I dont travel with mine much either. I think if you can find one at lowes sure. But I myself wouldnt bother.
Oh I totally hear you on the weight issue. That was the reason back when I still gigged I sold my Tremoverb Half Stack and got a Rectoverb 50W combo. Played that out for 15 years before I sold it last year. Now I have two half stacks with different configs and speakers as well as a marshall head...
I get it. No worries there. That said you should do an advanced search on ebay for sold prices. I bought my mint cherry red RK2 head for 1600 on GC online. Just because they ask 1500 doesnt mean you get it. But that is also irrelevant bc its all really about the buyer and what they want. There...
Bandit uses them and it was covered to some degree in our CB75 thread. I saw another thread you started where someone mentioned a tremoverb so Ill ignore that. Did you search the forums for that model?

Yeah I have some advice. Buy your girl some flowers now. That sucker is loud and she isnt going to see you for a while. Enjoy! You will just need to play with the various options to find your sound. I prefer not to run the gain all out. A little goes a long way especially if you DONT play metal. :)
I say if it annoys you convert it. I hate people who say dont change because it isnt broken. If it wasnt an issue it wouldnt be pissing you off. I actually am surprised your amp doesnt have a removable cable. That would drive me crazy.
