I pulled the chassis out and checked it over. I had the mid pot replaced at the same time I got the reverb tank changed and it seems the tech forgot to solder the earth wire (that runs through the pots) back onto the reverb pot and it was just resting there. I re-soldered and problem solved.

Hi all, I recently noticed a problem with the reverb on my Studio 22+. It cuts in and out randomly. One minute there is the correct reverb corresponding with the setting (ie; if the reverb is on 0 there is none, if it is on 3 there is slight reverb) then for no apparent reason it goes on full...

The electrolytic Capacitor will look like this... The colour may be Blue or Black and the light coloured stripe down one side indicates negative. You will see " 4.7μF " written along the side of the cap. By lifting the earth (the one closest to the light coloured stripe) it will cancel the wah...

yeah my studio .22+ pops a bit (not all the time) when I turn the standby off. I assume it isn't normal to do this but can it do damage to the amp? I am having it serviced in the next couple of weeks anyway so I will get the tech to check it out.

I don't use the boogie's dirty channel. I did when I first got the amp but after getting the Tube Zone I realised the pedal delivers the overdrive sound I am after so I just use the clean channel on the amp now.

I used to use multi effects pedals with an old Marshall Valvestate but when I got my first valve amp (mesa .22 calibre studio +) I got rid of the Korg unit I had and changed to stompboxes. Now I only use what I need at gigs.... TS808 Tube Screamer, Morley Wah, MI Audio Tube Zone, Korg DT10...

I have an original TS808 and I use it every gig. The tone is awesome! I wired a standard DC Jack to the circuit so I didn't have to use batteries anymore. They drain quickly when you forget to unplug the input while it is on a pedalboard!

I definately recommend the 'Tube Zone' by MI Audio. Have a listen to some sounds clips here, I have used one for about 12 months and am very pleased with it. It drives harder than a Tube Screamer, but I use both at gigs. Being mainly a cover muso I need access to a couple of different overdrive...

I am a solo musician playing every weekend in Central Western NSW, Australia. I mainly play classic rock, evergreens and country rock. There is plenty of work here and the money isn't bad, some venues paying up to $700au for solo artists like myself. Cheers Shane

I paid $750au about 8 months ago for my .22+ and it was a good price for around here. They normally fetch around $1000au + Cheers Shane
