I have never heard a v-30 I liked. The c-90s are fuller and warmer and have more bass than any other speaker in a open or 3/4 back cab. In fact they have so much bass I dont miss the close back cabs V-30 to harsh for my ears or if you get a tone of of them they are only good for that one...

I agree with you 100 % Dont be fooled by the boutique amps out there. Mostly name and good tones but to much money. I for one can afford any amp at any price and the LSC is the best amp I ever owned. I have had Dr z carr , and more but the LSC is badass and the LSS is as well but I use the LSC...

Heres my set up... 6L6 amp LSC.... clean 1st channel 100 watts lots of headroom, not much breakup second channel lots of gain 6l6 style 50 watts. no drive swicth on though. Just a boost in front to drive it hard. fat 6l6 tone. 34 LSC amp... channel one breaking up crunch 50 watts. Great...

I prefer wo LSC one with 34 and one with 6l6. Better than anything. I swicth between the amp heads and cab. The 34 in the LSC is far warmer and better than the aweful ace for my tastes. The ace is the worst 34 amp I ever had at one point. I love mesa but the ace was not great for me

I know this is not the answer to all but the way around that is keep the gain low the watts at 30 and the master no where past 12.00.... oh and I use two of them and its not loud and I have the headroom you want. Its the way to go. The speakers are great in the amp so thats not the problem...

What tube postion would give me more gain with my LSC second channel ? Should I swap out the V1 or the V3 ? I dont want anymore gain in channel one just more out of channel 2. I want more crunch in channel two so I figure a higher gain 12ax7 would do it

I would. The lonestar cleans are far superior to the M4. I had one and its a grteaq amp but has that classci mid thing mesa is known for. The LSC doesnt. It also breaths like you wouldnt believe. The amp is a platform to get any sound you want with pedals but have the best reverb with.
