I hear ya with the higher frets. You just have to be aware of your fret hand pressure or you'll push the strings sharp. I have a couple like this and do prefer medium frets. But I've adapted. There is no reason why you cant have them leveled lower.

I have a Cool Cat TO that I bought to use as a clean boost for my F50 and it works really well for that. Problem is it also sounds really good as an overdrive and I usually set it up for that. Guess I could get another...

I have an f-50 also. It did that at one time but tubes fixed the problem. Quiet as can be now. I also play thru a friends f-100 pretty often and it is very quiet also. I'd say bring it to a good repair shop unless you're good at that kinda thing. Dont know where you are but I know a good one in...

Yeah one of mine is now on top also. I was wondering if there were a tube problem, and the resister can't fall out, what will fry next. Maybe it's a good idea to have them soldered from the bottom? I too will replace tubes more often.

Not long ago I had a very similar situation. I had a power tube go and one of the, I believe they're called screen grid resisters, got so hot the solder liquefied and it fell from the pcb. The amp did work but had low volume also. The one that fell out on me was located right between the power...

Well it figure's. Two days before being able to try out the other guys footswitch/cable, it started working fine. Worked perfectly all last night also. Just have to wait and see.

I picked up a 5 pin din cable at the shack and that didn't help. I'm gonna be jammin with a guy that has an f100, I'll try his pedal and see what happens. :roll:

Yes the switch is in the middle position when trying to switch out of contour. I did check the cable pin to pin, I'll have to see if any are shorted. I guess one of them could be shorted to ground also. When I took the pedal apart to check the switch, I compared it to the channel switch as far...

It can be switched off contour with the front panel switch. I put a call in to Mesa but haven't got a return call yet.

I'm pretty sure I can switch back and forth with the amp switch but I'll have to see for sure. Might be a few day's before I can check. Thanks.

Well I broke out the multimeter and the switch and cable are ok. Yeah :?

All of the sudden I cant get my F-50 to switch off of contour mode. Channel select works fine. I guess the first thing to check out is the switch itself. Anyone ever have a problem like this where it wasn't the switch?

You might have a hearing issue bro. Mine will just about make your ears bleed at those settings, especially in a bedroom.
