Totally different amps in my opinion.
THe LSS is a cathode biased el84 where the LSC is a fixed bias 6l6.
Regardless of what boogie will tell you. BIAS MATTERS!!!
I would purchase the LSS for this reason alone. If I had a classic I would have to modify it to be able to adjust the bias.

If they have an sm57 I'll use that one as well but the 609 is just really easy to get a good tone from.

Depends on what you mean by boost.
The OCD will have it's own compression going on and can be a great pedal into a clean amp but I would never use it as a boost. The 808 is a tube screamer, set to just boost the signal would be OK but you are going to get a mid freq hump that will also make...
