    Boost for your ED?

+1 I have a Fulltone OCD v4 but I definitely prefer the BB.

    Clean channel suddenly gone

So I switched the V1/V2 tubes (Hi/Lo) with the V4/V5 tubes (Clean) and all three channels work fine. Go figure! I guess a tube had worked itself loose, but the Dyne is in my studio and never gets moved. I generally play the clean channel 80% of the time, but while it was out I was using blue...

    Clean channel suddenly gone

My ED is from early 2010, I turned it on this afternoon and I had no sound at all from the clean (green) channel. Blue and Red are fine, and it doesn't make a difference if the pedal switch is connected or not. May I assume it is one of the preamp tubes that suddenly went? And do you recommend...

Mesa not going to NAMM this year...

There were a few notable absences, Mesa being one of the bigger ones. Several people I spoke to at NAMM believe in about five years there will be little left of it. Blame the Internet, and (nothing political intended) the unions.

    1x12 or 2x12 Dyne??

Very happy with the 1x12. If you are even thinking of the 2x12 consider a separate head and cab.

    Converts from the Mark V?

    Makes a nice fruit salad....!

Would you prefer a tube rectifier?

I actually much prefer the lead tones of the ED over the LSC; Right now I am using a BB Preamp (leftover from the LSC) to experiment with more lead tones, but will consider all of the usual suspects.

Would you prefer a tube rectifier?

More important would be the sound of the Lonestar vs the Electra Dyne. To me, the cleans are extremely close, with the LSC holding a very slight edge over the ED, but the higher gain modes of the ED completely blow away the 2nd channel of the LSC. I have already voted with my wallet, selling off...

one week down... OD conversation to pass the time...

Currently using a BB Preamp, and I agree there is quite a bit of overlap between it and the ED gain channels. So what is the favorite pedal to use with the ED for that "singing, sustained lead?"

    so i

Count me as one of those people who sold a LSC for the ED, and has lived happier ever after. Oh, and you need a few more pedals.....

    who designed the ED?

It appears Electra Woman and Dyna Girl had a guitar-playing villain named "Glitter Rock," any chance he played an Electra Dyne???? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUNx2MAvgOI

How well is Mesa doing with these amps?

FWIW, my ED combo purchased this past March has a SN# just over 1000.

My wish list for future ED amps!

Just pure conjecture, but I would guess that they may incorporate the gain channels into other amps. The simplicity of the ED is something they may not want to change.

My wish list for future ED amps!

    1) Separate Clean and Gain Channels 2) 10 Watt option 3) Solo boost with effects loop more like the current LoneStar ....but otherwise I am very happy with my ED combo!
