Ha! My two favorite bands. Pennywise used a mark iv in the past but switched to rectifiers because they found they sounded too thin. He now uses a triple rec and another amp in stereo for a more wide sound on stage. Nofx used mark iii and mark iv live in the past but now el hefe uses an evh 5150...
I agree but... 4x12 cabs sounds way better :-) Especially at low volume. I have the 2x12 recto horizontal but bought two recto 4x12 recently. So I have one for in my living room at low volume and one for practice room. The lows and highs are balanced, smooth and fat but the 2x12 is (too) harsh...
I have a mark v 90 head, a 4x12 recto and a 2x12 recto cab. I still can not believe the huge difference between the two cabs. On the 2x12 I have the bottom end I missed with a 1x12. But the highs are piercing my ears so I have to dail down the presence to about nine o clock. And the trebble...
