Help please! Mark IV static sound on low E string.

My Mark IVb combo has started giving me problems. It has an intermittent issue where there is a noticably annoying static/ crackle sound on notes played on the low E string ranging from an open E to a g#. It is most noticable on the clean channel. I tried swapping out v1,v3, and v5 with a tube...

    Stiletto 2x12 impedance question.

Thanks for the reply. I should have thought to test it earlier, I forgot all about my meter! It tested 6.56-6.8 ohms. I would assume that is an 8 ohm load.

    Stiletto 2x12 impedance question.

Hey folks, I just added a stiletto 2x12 to the stable and I m loving it but I have one question. I can't seem to find out which of the speaker jacks the speaker load should be plugged into. 8 ohm or 4 ohm? I couldn't find the answer in the manual. Thanks!

Hey sorry for the delay, I haven't checked back since I posted. I am interested. I was looking for a combo but I have a 2 x 12 rec cabinet so a head is not out of the question.

    My Mark IV lead settings.

Amended- after using this setting for some time I found mid gain to be a little too thick so I changed to harmonics and have pulled the drive dial to bright.

    Mark IV 6v6s

After reading the manual it was my understanding that in order to run 4 6v6s you do have to run the amp in tweed but its class ab not class a and you must plug the speaker into the 4 ohm jack.

    Mark IV 6v6s

Can anyone who has tried this give me some impressions before I give it a go myself. I'm curious about trying it; My first amp ever was 1969 Fender Deluxe reverb that I bought in the classifieds for $200 in 1990. I loved it. I foolishly traded it away as a teenager because it didn't have...
