Thanks for the feedback. Can't wait to judge one for myself.

Hmmm...that statement sort of answers my previous question and makes me even more eager to try the JP-2C. Edit: just noticed what you said about this clean channel. What is it you didn't like about the Mark V, or maybe rather, what is it you prefer about the clean of the JP-2C? Sorry for the...

Howdy! Would you say it has a more "open" or less compressed sound compared to a Mark V? Is that what you mean by "looser" feeling strings? I love my Mark V but when I play live it's always my Road King II because it's a bit more open...which to me means less compressed and a bit more...

Quick ? about my new Mark V

Doesn't seem to exist? That is impossible to determine at this time. I don't need you coming in here with a condescending attitude when all I'm trying to do is gather info. It's possible not enough owners of the latest shipment of Mark V's have seen the thread. They may not even be members...

Screaming, I'm not trying to be a jerk, so don't take it the wrong way...but you can stop posting your solution because I'm not asking for one.

    mark v serial no.

People can hardly keep these in stock, so I'm sure if you get a brand new one out of the box that it won't have been "sitting in the shop" for that long. I just got mine in last week and my serial number is over 4k.

Mesa Head dosen't fit on Mesa Cab???

I don't think I would call the fact the reverb hangs low "stupid" - I'm sure the amp was designed like this for a reason. There are a million different ways to get around the issue (should you even run into it, I seem to be in the minority, lol) so I would not worry about it too much.

Anyone using a roadster for country music?

They are both very versatile so I would try them both with your new band. I wouldn't make the decision to trade them for something else until I REALLY put each through their paces during a set (practice or gig). I'm in a similar situation where I don't know if I want to keep using my RK or my...

Quick ? about my new Mark V

Yep that's probably what I'm going to end up doing, it beats hauling the super cool slab of plywood around  Just curious if I'm the only one or if anybody else got one of the latest batch of Mark V's (mine is 004026) and had a similar issue.

Quick ? about my new Mark V

Nobody is saying it does, but from what I'm gathering it might depend on how old your Mark V on if you will have my problem or not . I'm still waiting on others to chime in, specifically those with a newer Mark V and Roadster cab like myself.

    Dating my new Roadster :)

On the topic of dating amps: My Road king II head I bought last July (my first mesa) has a date etched into the black surface in front of my power tubes. It looked like somebody did it with a screwdriver or whatnot. I bought the amp new from Sweetwater. Is this normal? Or did somebody tag...
