Has anyone swapped out the pots on channel 2 to get more control at lower volumes. The way it works right now is that it goes from "off" to bags of volume and gain in a very small range of rotation on the two knobs. Just wondering if changing to audio taper pots would help? I have an F30 btw.

I just started a thread on my new 1 x 12 xcab for my LSS. I put a Scumback H75-8HP in it and it sounds great. I'm running the new cab closed at the moment but my old cab was open. Verdict's still out on which i prefer but the Scummie sounds great either way.

Sorry it is an LSS. Cab is convertable from closed to partial open. I'm running it closed right now and the Scumback suites the amp very well.

I'm going to guess yes. I tried the quad of JJ's in the LSS and all I got was very muffled sound and very low volume. Might be not a matched quad or wrong voltages, I don't know, could be a dud tube also I guess. Either way they didn't work out. I did put in some nos 12ax7's and a nos rectifier...

Thanks I'll try those settings. I've also got lots of tubes, might even have a matched quad of JJ EL84's kicking around somewhere, and I have lots of NOS 12ax7's. I read about the mods and they sound great, definitely easy to do, and reverse. If I decide to keep it I'll give them a try.
