I bought this amp used in August. It was in mint condition and still is. Never been gigged but has been played thoroughly. This amp has never given me any problems whatsoever. The amp has been inspected by Mesa/Boogie themselves in Petaluma, California late last year
and is fully up to specs...
Surprised nobody else commented on this. Wasnt a big fan but I always loved Let's Go Crazy.
Not many iconic music stars left that were on his level of influence and innovation.
I've always been a Maxon supporter, but I'd say it's the Mesa that wins. It was the only one that didn't audibly wear me down as much as the others, not to mention it sounds huge.
Yeah I figured so. It came with El34's when I bought it but Mesa put original 6l6's back in. Didn't make much difference actually, so it's most likely a preamp tube swap.
Very simple but gets a good sound for demos.
