    grainy pick attack MK IV

    OK weird one. I have noticed recently that my MIV is really grainy at pick attack so the notes get all mushed together. It's almost like a secondary saturation. I've tried a bunch of different settings and changed Power tubes. No luck. I'm a guitar guy and not an amp guy so looking for a bit...

    Mark IV footswitch switching issue help

    This just happened to me a few weeks ago. Turns out there were a couple solder joints in the Foot Controller that came loose.

    Will this work or am I going to toast something

    You can always plug into a higher Ohm. (i.e. 4 Ohm out put jack into 8 Ohm speaker) Just not the other way. That will fry the amp because it is working too hard. Remember flow is flow so if you are trying to fill an 8" pipe using a 1" hose that 1" hose has to work super hard. Where it is easy...

    How loud do you set your Mark's for a gig?

    Mark VIA - I have my ch vol at 5 and the master at 3 and the 2120 (in the FX loop) output set at 12 o'clock for rehearsal. Then I normally have to dial the 2120 back a bit to about 10 o'clock for shows.

    Sad Day, Happy Day

    Well last week I sold my BEAUTIFUL DC-10 combo. Actually got from fellow Board member Don Diego. It was really hard to let it go. But the reason for selling was to fund the acquisition of a Mark IV combo. so while I was sad to see the DC-10 go I am excited to hear the new CD with the Mark on it.

    Picked up a DC-10 combo last week. Here she is. Came with cover and foot switch Here's the hang tag. Not sure how to get manufacture year or number made off it though. Any help? Need to do the effects loop mod though. I just can't get enough of the delay to sound through.
