well, it depends, bud i prefer cal 50+ most from all boogie heads, especially on thrash, HC etc. jcm900 will fall before any of these heads. i totally love 2EVM in my 2x12Halfback with closed back, perhaps the two chamber system make sound better than one for two speakers...i use it with marshall6100, mesa caliber50+,MkIIa,mkIII,single recto and everything sounds on this cab better than on any other...

well, i think that depends on each caliber, i also own it and it sounds pretty different, mine is like hot-rodded JCM800 (if you put there 6550), actually friend of my own exactly same mods like zakk wylde on his heads, hes always in contact with their techs :) and in compare i think the caliber...

yeah, thats why i like my 2x12, its sounds great, but also looks great :)

the + means that you can switch from rhytm to lead without footswitch, just by pulling up the gain potentiometer... and i think that for metallica tone you need this, markIII or mark IIc/+ but the caliber is cheapest and for me the greatest :)
