    Nomad 45 foot switch boost

Yep, mine works the same way. My output and boost controls both set at about 7:00 on a clock face. And just a minute adjustment makes a HUGE difference on either one. I' d like to spread that control out a little. Thanks for the reply.

    Nomad 45 foot switch boost

My boost knob on the face of the amp for the foot switch is extremely sensitive. Very little movement makes a BIG difference in boost or cut. Is there any kind of mod I can do to give me more movement of the knob and less change in boost??? (Difficult to describe). More knob movement for less...

    Hot Tamale!

Thanks for the reply. I know power tubes have to have something to do with the heat. (They're right on the PT). I think I'm going to build a head cab and use it as a head. Carrying that 2x12 weight around kills me. I'll just add a fan and leave it on. It runs at about 100 degrees with a fan...

    Hot Tamale!

Yeah, I'm more concerned about the PT being so hot. Does anyone know if they are designed that way???

Mine was so hot you couldn't hold you hand on it or the chassis at the base of the tubes!

    Hot Tamale!

I posted this in the non Mesa amp forum (wrong forum) so thought I'd try here and maybe get some more responses. Thanks for any feedback. I just traded for a Nomad 45 and love it but it gets hotter than hell! After playing awhile the chassis and especially the PT gets so hot you can't touch it...

    Hot Tamale!

Yep I changed the tubes too and that didn't seem to help much. I checked with a thermometer and it was operating at about 150°. I put a small AC fan back there now it runs at about 100°. Sounds good either way. Lol!

    Hot Tamale!

I just traded for a Nomad 45 and love it but it gets hotter than hell! After playing awhile the chassis and especially the PT gets so hot you can't touch it or you will get burned. Too hot to leave your hand on it. Is that normal??? Thanks! Chris
