Demo videos now available on Mesa web-site

They both sound amazing, the guy playing does a great job. You'd think Mesa would have these up for all the amps in the current line by now.

    Mark III Blue Stripe

I have a Mark III Purple Stripe 100/60 watt non simul class that had a mod to run 4 EL34's. I sent it in to Mesa, and they overhauled everything and switched it back to specs which is EL34's in the outer sockets, and 6L6's in the inner sockets. Mine sounded fine with the EL34 mod, but better...

    Drum Loop Program

just a heads up regarding Cubase LE. Le doesn't allow you to drag & drop loops. I got EZ Drummer, and in order to use the drag & drop loops I had to upgrade to Cubase Essentials. On a positive note, Cubase Essentials is great, and you can get it for $ 150 as an upgrade. After upgrading...

    New Dual Rectifier Song ....

I thought your guitars sound great. The Dual Rec is obviously more well rounded than people give it credit for. The song has potential, and it's nice to hear something other than metal on the Boogie site. Good job doing it all yourself. I'm trying to do the same thing and it's taking me...

    Boogie Mark III

"On my purple stripe I really like R2, it's this crazy big, full, boomy thing that's really sensitive to pick attack and the guitar's volume, it's more like an old Fender. I was almost getting Neil Young type of sounds out of it. However, it's not really that good for straight ahead rock rhythm...

    STILETTO STAGE 1 CLIPS

Sounds amazing! Did you check out the Lonestars at all?

    Punk Rock sound

in regards to the sound quality nowadays, that may be true, but if you're trying too hard to sound "punk" it's not going to happen. With a great amp like this guy has, all he needs to do is play loud, and distorted, and tweak the sound to his liking.

Who else feels that their mesa is very heavy? (weight)

It is an odd set up. I think I have some pictures from the last time I opened it up. I'll try to post something this weekend.

    Punk Rock sound

Asking how to play punk rock is about as anti punk rock as you can get! Plug in, and play fast and loud!

    Mark III Rhythm 2 Channel

Agreed. I use an Arbiter Fuzz Face, and a Bad Monkey, and both sound much thicker in Rhy 2 vs the clean. They also both sound pretty great over my lead channel, if I really want to blow things up at lower volumes. I used to use my Fuzz at gigs off my lead channel for massive thick sustain...

Who else feels that their mesa is very heavy? (weight)

Good luck with your back. Played in my last band for over 5 years with my Mark III full size head, and a Marshall half stack with 3 EVL speakers (top speaker double wired), and no casters. There were gigs where I had a hard time just managing to push my half stack into the back of my Tacoma...

Help me tweak my Mark III plus a couple issues.

In regards to the reverb, mine was non-existent for about 10 years until I sent it in to Mike B for a tune up. He told me he made a few tweaks to it to improve what was originally a pretty weak reverb. Now with a 12AX7 the reverb sounds great. In regards to brightening things up, I actually...

    Mark III EQ/Rev pedal help

Thanks Austin! I just got a TRS cable from Guitar Center. They had a Live Wire 10 ft for $16. They have a lot more to choose from on-line. I've never needed a TRS, or balanced cable before, and that's all anyone would have had to let me know to solve my problem. My pedal now works great. :)

    Mark III EQ/Rev pedal help

Anybody out there? I need some help on this one. Is there a 1/4 to 1/4 inch cable that carries a stereo signal? My Mark III head has a single 1/4 inch input for the EQ-REV signal on the back. When I plug a standard guitar 1/4 inch cable into the head, the reverb button turns the reverb on...
