How are the low-ends compared to the mini Recto's? 25's got bigger transformers more punch?

Not to hijack this thread.. What harm will it do to an Amp that runs only on one type power tubes (6L6/EL34?) and does not have a bias pot or switch, if I put different tube? let's say 6v6, KT66,KT77 etc.. I bought a used line 6 spider valve (6L6) :mrgreen: & I've been tempted to put EH6CA7 on it.

Reliability on the Randalls were really questionable? but Egnater mods are solid! I don't really rely on the MTS amps, I used the Preamp and modules to power amp.

Novice question here.. Does the presence knob part of the power section? for using an external preamp perhaps? And are the Cleans are based on the Lonestar preamp? Thanks!!

Where do they sale 6 feet 7 pin midi cable? the shortest I've seen is 20 ft.. I need a short cable to phantom power a midi foot pedal.

Some Amps have presence and density at the power section. There's the standard EQ (tre/mid/bass plus presence ) already at the preamp, and the 5 band EQ slider still at the preamp section, isn't that redundant?

Are you sayin' that the presence knob on whichever channel it's on, works with the master volume when using an external preamp?

Hey Guys, Apologies if this question had been ask a dozen times. How does DR compared with a regular power amp? I'm guessing lacking a presence knob it will sound dull? Using an external Preamp like Randall RM4 and Axe FX?

So the 5 band EQ is part of the MK V preamp? I was hoping it was part of the power section? my Randall RM4 preamp along with modded modules would had sounded great with the added EQ.. Oh well, Thanks for the info.

Swap the stock preamp tubes with EH or Chinese 12ax7's.
