OK, thanks guys. I will keep my cab as it is - it came with V30s, but I replaced them with a C90 and an EV and it sounds amazing. I'm pretty much using it with the JP. I now also have a MKIII green with a C90 sitting on a Thiele with an EV. I plan to put my blue stripe (head) into the combo...

Can anyone describe how the 212 half back is constructed? Is the bottom ported? Is it tuned like a Thiele? I’m wondering if it would be possible to convert my 212V recto to a half back. Has anyone done this kind of thing? Is it a useless idea? Thanks

My other one is a 1988 Blue. I adore that amp, but haven’t played any other Mk III yet. I think after I get the green tonight I will look into sending my Blue to Mike B for a checkup and recap. Afterward I will decide if I’m keeping the green or selling it in the headshell. I realize...

I actually work for the last tube manufacturer in the USA. We don’t make any of the tubes guitarists use anymore but I have tried to make the case a couple times. They won’t go for it though because they know they can’t make them as cheeep as the Chinese and they don’t believe people will pay...
